Cambium Networks’ collapse doesn’t affect 9dot users
In mid-September 2026, the wireless networking industry was shaken by unexpected news: Cambium Networks laid off approximately 54% of its global workforce, and its UK subsidiary formally entered administration.
For operators and distributors who rely on Cambium equipment, the news raised an understandable concern: what happens to the products already deployed in our networks?
The good news: the most important product lines are safe
On September 23, 2026, Airspan Networks Holdings announced the acquisition of several fixed wireless product lines from Cambium Networks, including:
- the point-to-multipoint platform PMP 450;
- the unlicensed point-to-point backhaul system PTP 670;
- the millimeter wave range cnWave and the narrowband communications line cnReach;
- the management and planning software LINKPlanner, cnHeat, and cnMaestro.
Airspan has confirmed it is already taking orders for the acquired products and has assumed all warranty and support commitments.
What does this acquisition mean for 9dot users?
9dot power management products are complementary to Cambium fixed wireless equipment: our PoE injectors, smart power stations, and surge protection devices supply and protect the radios and access points in your infrastructure, regardless of which wireless vendor you use.
The Cambium product lines now under Airspan are exactly the carrier-grade platforms designed to work alongside our products.
Their continuity under a financially solid new owner means that existing deployments remain supported, and future installations can continue to be built on the same technology stack.

Our PoE injector GIGASYNC V3, featuring CambiumSYNC functionality, can be synchronized with the Cambium product lines acquired by Airspan:
- PMP 450
- PTP 670
- cnWave
For smaller-scale networks, we have developed another product with CambiumSYNC: the LiteSync.
